Sacif set to hold public enlightenment conference in Owerri

A nongovernmental organization, Save a Child International foundation (SACIF) will hold a one day public enlightenment conference tagged “The Role of the Society in Helping the less Privileged” on Saturday April 16th 2016. The event is scheduled to commence by 10am at De Simeon’s eatery located at Ikenegbu.

Expected to speak at the event are Dr. Mma  Olebara, an author and public commentator and award winning on air personality, E berry of Hot Fm Owerri.

According to a statement by the events host and founder of SACIF, Ms Chioma Ejim, SACIF is a nonprofit organization that extends humanitarian gestures to the less privileged in the society especially children and orphans and other indigent persons. She revealed that the purpose of the program is to increase awareness and let the world know that young people a stake to make the country a better place.

“The aim of my organization is to restore hope to the hopeless through workshops and seminars and regular visitations to orphanage homes” she added.

Commenting on the event, the administrative director of the organization, Oleh Nelson disclosed that it was packaged to enlighten the public on the need to help the less privileged, create a connection with the helpless and draw philanthropists to the reach out to the downtrodden in the society. “We are therefore inviting the general public to be part of the program” he concluded.
