The time president of South Africa who was imprisoned for speaking out against Apartheid, Nelson Mandela has moved on to the great beyond after battling with health complications that probably resulted from his 27 years incarceration.
The former president was a great patriot of his country and the world at large and will be greatly missed. He is fondly called Mandiba by his people.
According to the South African President who broke the news to the world, President Jacob Zuma, “Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father”.
President Mandela spent the final days of his life at his boyhood home located in Eastern Cape Province where he said he was at peace.
