To ensure the people of Imo state stay healthy and the environment is safe and clean, the state government led by his excellency, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha has approved the last Saturday of every month as a sanitation day. This was contained in an official release from the office of the Governor.
The release stated that there will be restriction of vehicular and human movements from 7am to 10am on the said day. It also empowered law enforcement agencies and IMO ENTRACO to ensure that citizens comply to the directive.
