Fuel scarcity hit Owerri – Photos

There is fuel scarcity in the city of Owerri presently. Investigations reveal that the scarcity has been caused by  strike action embarked  by the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG).

Although reports say the strike has been suspended, panic buying and desperate users of the commodity are making a muse of the matter as many of them sleep in the station, while others cause traffic congestion.

However, the good news is that most petrol stations that are dispensing the product are still selling at the official pump price of N87 per liter; and concomitantly, motorists have not hiked their fares but the long queue is worrisome to many.
