The restriction of activities has also been announced by various radio stations operating in the state.
Confirming the burial and restriction of activities, an old student from the late monarch’s alma mater (Government Secondary School Owerri) said his remains will be received by students, staff and old boys of the great institution prior to interment.
Commenting on the suspension of business activities he said: “all business activities will be suspended from 7am tomorrow in honor of Late HRM Eze Dr Pharm Emmanuel Emenyonu NJEMANZE Ozuruigbo 5.”
“Please if you have any plans for commercial activities in Owerri take note.” he added.
However on further inquiry, AlaOwrrri.com discovered that the areas that will be most affected are areas around the palace (Njemanze street). It will also affect the new market area.
